What to Expect When You Participate

Step 1: Initial Screening & Personalized Tracking

Your journey begins with a comprehensive neurological assessment, where a specialist will review your medical history, conduct a neurological exam, and assess your balance. To help us understand your symptoms over time, you'll also receive a personalized diary to track your experiences until your next visit.

 

Step 2: First Study Session (Month 1)

One month later, you’ll return for your first study session. You will receive an infusion of either nitroglycerin or saline—a process carefully monitored by our team. During this session, we will assess your attention, balance, and eye movements. This study follows a double-blind design, meaning neither you nor the investigator will know which infusion you receive.

Step 3: Second Study Session (1–2 Weeks Later)

Your final visit will be similar to the previous one, but this time, you will receive the opposite infusion. This allows us to directly compare responses, giving us valuable insights into vestibular migraine mechanisms.
